This kitchen was dark and outdated before we removed some walls and gave this space a big open-concept feel. The dark wood cabinets are a great contrast to the white oak floors and we couldn't be happier with how the chevron pattern on the floors turned out! Flat-panel cabinets and brass fixtures and hardware give this kitchen its contemporary look. The smoked glass back splash behind the wet-bar shelving adds a little glamour and some femininity. Modern kitchens can sometimes skew a bit masculine and harsh. This kitchen feels warm,  inviting and is completely gender neutral which was the goal!
